Are You the Parent of a Child Under Three Years Old?

 

Children begin different activities at different ages. Some babies begin crawling or creeping at nine months while others will not for a few more months. Some toddlers start talking when they are a year old. Others might take longer to say their first words.

 

If you have concerns or worry about the way your baby or toddler is developing, talk with your child's doctor. You can also search the Minnesota Department of Health online Directory to find contact information for the Infant & Toddler Intervention Program in your area. Or call 1-866-693-GROW (4769) to learn about infant and toddler intervention services as well as other related services in your area.

 

From either your online directory search or phone call, you will get the name and phone numbers of agencies with people who can answer your questions. People in your community, teachers, therapists, nurses and social workers are available to help young children get the start they deserve. They are there to help you and your child-and the extra help now might make a big difference later.
