May 21, 2012 - On the Move and Safe As Can Be: The Latest Scoop on Child Passenger Safety (125)
Traffic accidents remain the leading cause of death among children under 14, according to the Centers for Disease Control, but many of those deaths (and nonfatal injuries as well) are preventable if we follow the law and best practice guidelines for passenger safety. In this informative discussion with Heather Darby from the Minnesota Department of Public Safety, Marti & Erin draw out all you need to know about keeping your children as safe as can be. You are likely to be surprised by some of what you hear, especially about the relative safety of car seats of different prices. Listen carefully to this week’s show and make sure Grandma and Grandpa listen too!
